History Of The SuperLotto Plus:

The California State Lottery has been in existence since the mid-eighties with the first tickets going on sale on October 3rd, 1985. The SuperLotto first began life in 1986 and was known as the California Super Lotto. The game was a simple 6/49 lottery game but developed in later years. In 1990 the game was changed to a 53 ball set and a 7th bonus ball was added.

In 2000 the name was changed to SuperLotto Plus along with the ball set and selection criteria. This is the current format for this lottery.		 The SuperLotto Plus Lottery  

How To Play The SuperLotto Plus:

This Californian lottery is very similar to the format of the Multi-State Mega Millions lottery. To enter this game lottery players need to select from two number sets:

- Players choose five numbers from a possible forty-seven
- Players choose one number from a possible twenty-seven (the “Mega” number)

The number selection process has been 5/47 and 1/27 since 2000. To win the jackpot players must match all six numbers.

California SuperLotto Plus Jackpots:

The minimum, starting jackpot prize up for grabs on this lotto game is $7,000,000.00 USD. The biggest jackpot prize ever paid out was $193,000,000.00 won on the 16th February 2002. Three winning ticket holders shared this impressive lottery jackpot.
