Matt Evans, who won £2m on the UK Lottery is blowing his windfall jetting around the world to watch all the major sporting events.
Gone are the day that Matt Evans worked 11 hour shifts as a postie in Barry, Glamorgan. Thanks to his win on the UK Lottery, this sporting enthusiast is living it up, spending thousands of pounds travelling the world to see his favourite sporting events, including the Rio Olympics, Monaco Grand Prix and Wimbledon.
Of course, it doesn’t end there. Now the richest postman in the land, Matt a sports obsessed 35-year-old is also flying to cheer on American football's Washington Redskins, ice hockey side the Washington Capitals and baseball’s Baltimore Orioles.
Matt said: "I know I’m very lucky — I’m living the dream of so many blokes. I always said if I won the lottery I’d spend it on following my favourite teams.

"I love American sport so instead of watching it on TV I fly over to see it live. But I still love my football and I’m devoted to Cardiff City and Wales.”
Matt said: “I am not planning on going back to work for the next four weeks but I love my job.
Matt became an instant millionaire when he eventually popped into his local newsagent to double check his lotto ticket.
“I think I bought the ticket on the Tuesday and it sat in my pocket, during an 11-hour shift in work, during a day off, until 4pm on Friday afternoon when I finished work,” he said.
“I took the ticket to the shop for them to check it and the machine started going crazy.
“The girl behind the counter told me sign the ticket and ring the lottery people.
“I started thinking I must have won around £20,000.”
When I called them to check they just asked me: "Are you ready for this?"'
“My dad was next to me screaming, it was unbelievable.”
At the time of his win Matt also told lottery officials, “My dad has always wanted to go to the Monaco Grand Prix so we’ll do that next year.
“My mum has always wanted to go to a Wimbledon final so I’ll have to try and get tickets next year.
Well, is certainly lived up to his promises.
“This won’t just change my life but those of my family and friends.
“It’s for everyone.”
“I’ve always loved watching sport and this win means that as well as looking after my family, I can travel the world, watching my teams play,” he said.
If it sounds as though Matt’s blowing too much on sport – think again. While living with his parents he has one ambition and that was to save and buy a house of his own. With the help of the UK Lottery win, Matt has bought a £600,000 home, which comes with its own five-a-side pitch, in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The huge sum of cash hasn't been able to buy him love, however, and the ladies will be happy to hear that he’s still a bachelor (that’s if you love sports).
